The StoryCorps recording booth is located on the 6th Floor of the Main Library, near the Skylight Gallery.
Recording sessions are available on Thursdays and Saturdays, by appointment. If you would like to make an appointment to record a story, please contact storycorps.org/reservations or call (800) 850-4406.
StoryCorps is a national oral history project whose mission is to provide people of all backgrounds and beliefs with the opportunity to record, preserve, and share their stories. Anyone is invited to make an appointment to come into the StoryBooth to record a conversation with a family member, friend, colleague or loved one. Each recording is free of charge, lasts for 40 minutes, and participants are talk about whatever they want, in any language they wish. At the end of the recording, participants can choose to have their conversation archived at the Library of Congress in Washington DC.
