- Open a web browser and go to www.lynda.com/portal/patron?org=sfpl.org.
- Log in with your 14-digit library card number and PIN — the PIN must be numbers only.
- Search for the software or skills you want to learn in the white search box at the top of the screen, or click one of the picture icons to get started.

The library subscription is the same as the individual Premium membership. Most course content can be downloaded for offline use with the Lynda.com app (see below).

Using the Lynda.com app
The Lynda.com app is available for your phone, tablet, desktop computer, and TV. Get the free app from the Apple App Store, Google Play, or Windows Store.
To use the Lynda.com app with the Library's subscription, get the free app for your Android or iOS mobile device. After you have installed the app, choose the Organization login and enter sfpl.org under Web Portal. Click Log in. You will be redirected to the Library's Lynda.com login screen, where you will be prompted to enter your 14-digit card number and PIN. Once authenticated, you will be returned to the Lynda.com app to continue. The Lynda.com app will remember your library credentials.
Upon completion of a course, you may add a certification or completed course work to your LinkedIn profile. For more information about certifications, click here.
The Library provides free and full access to the Lynda.com catalog, but cannot provide any technical support beyond verifying that your library account is active.
