Macmillan Publishers has announced that they are limiting their e-book sales to public libraries, effective November 1, 2019. All public libraries are blocked from purchasing more than one e-copy of any Macmillan title until eight weeks after the release date.

Because of this decision, we will not have the newest Macmillan titles in OverDrive or Axis360.

In order to keep serving our patrons and to ameliorate the impact of this embargo, the Library will purchase more print copies of Macmillan’s books. We realize that this will not help our patrons who only read e-books, and we regret this.

Below are the imprints that will be affected by Macmillan’s decision to delay e-book sales of their newest publications:

Farrar, Straus & Giroux

Celadon

Henry Holt

Farrar Straus & Giroux for Young Readers
