La conexión inalámbrica a Internet requiere un aparato móvil con una tarjeta de Internet inalámbrica que acepte el estándar de WiFi.
Configurar su computadora - Haga clic en My Network Places/Network Neighborhood para configurar su computadora y que acepte automáticamente una dirección IP.
Buscar Lugares Idóneos en la Biblioteca
Haga clic en el icono de WiFi en la barra de tareas (taskbar).
Si no hay un icono:
- Haga clic en Start, Settings y Network Connections
- Haga clic en Wireless Network Connection y View Available Wireless Networks (los puntos de acceso inalámbrico aparecen en la caja de Available Networks)
- Haga clic en la conexión inalámbrica #SFLibraryWiFi
- Haga clic en Connect
Conectar con Diferentes Sistemas Operativos
Windows OS
- Right click My Network Places/Network Neighborhood
- Go to Properties
- Double click Wireless Adapter (or simply click on your vendor icon for the wireless adapter in the lower right hand tool bar)
- SSID (network name) = #SFLibraryWiFi and a DHCP address will be allocated automatically
- WEP = disable WEP encryption
- Mode or Network Type = Infrastructure mode or access point
- Open a Web browser
MAC OS
- Click on System Preferences from the Apple Menu
- Double click the Network logo
- Under Show Menu select AirPort
- Close window
- Open Internet Connect and turn on AirPort
- From Network Menu select #SFLibraryWiFi
- Open a Web browser
Internet Explorer Tips
(Depending on your version of software, there may be variations in these procedures.)
- From Control Panel, select Internet Options > Connections tab
- For those with a dial-up connection, do not set it to Always dial my default connection
- LAN Settings should be Automatically detect settings and leave the Proxy server settings blank
Windows Vista & Windows 7
(You may need administrative access to your laptop to change these settings)
- From Control Panel > Network and Sharing Center > Change
adapter settings - Right click Wireless Network Connection or Local Area Connection; click Properties
- Locate lnternet Protocol Version 4 (TCPJIPv4) and get into its Properties (if more than one
TCPIIP protocol is listed, look for the one associated with your wireless adapter) - Select Obtain an IP address automatically and Obtain DNS server address automatically
- From Control Panel, select Network and lnternet > Network and Sharing Center > Connect to a network
- Select the name of the wireless network #SFLibraryWiFi and click Connect
Windows 10
(You may need administrative access to your laptop to change these settings)
- From Settings, select Network& Internet > Wifi
- Find Change adapter options under Related settings
- Locate the TCP/IP protocol and get into its Properties (if more than one TCP/IP protocol is listed, look for the one associated with your wireless adapter)
- Select Obtain an IP address automatically and Obtain DNS server address automatically
- Select the name of a wireless network #SFLibraryWiFi and click Connect
Windows 8, 8.1
(You may need administrative access to your laptop to change these settings)
- From Control Panel, select Network and lnternet > Network and Sharing Center > Connect to a network
- Click on the #SFLibraryWiFi SSID under Wi-Fi on the right side
- Click on the Connect button, select the check box Connect automatically if you wish to have your device connect to the wi-fi network the next time you are in range. If your device connects successful, the system will show a Connected status under the SSID
- Open a browser and click to agree to the Terms and Condition statement to proceed to browsing the Internet.
Macintosh
Network Settings (OS X)
- Select Apple Menu > System Preferences > Network button
- Select TCP/IP tab and configure Using DHCP (above the TCP/IP tab, you may need to configure via AirPort or other wireless (WiFi) ethernet)
- Leave Domain Name Servers and Search Domains blank
iOS

- From your Home screen, go to Settings > Wi-Fi.
- Make sure Wi-Fi is turned on
- Select the name of the wireless network #SFLibraryWiFi and click Connect
- If not automatically redirected, open a browser and click to agree to the Terms and Condition statement to proceed to browsing the Internet.
Android

- From Home Screen > Settings App > Choose Wi-fi or Wireless & Networks
- Make sure Wi-Fi is turned on
- Select the name of the wireless network #SFLibraryWiFi and click Connect
- If not automatically redirected, open a browser and click to agree to the Terms and Condition statement to proceed to browsing the Internet.
