Q. What should I do if I return something to SFPL that belongs to another library?

If you inadvertently return an item that belongs to another library, please contact the location where you returned it; such items are generally kept for 2 weeks to allow you time to retrieve them.

After 2 weeks, all items are sent back to the owning library. Please note that SFPL doesn't keep records of the titles we return to other library systems.
