Frequently Asked Questions

What happened to Lynda.com?

Lynda.com has been rebranded as LinkedIn Learning. You can find all of the Lynda.com content and more in LinkedIn Learning. Update any previous Lynda.com bookmarks, as they no longer work.

Is there a fee to use LinkedIn Learning?

No. The library edition of LinkedIn Learning is free to use with a valid SFPL card.

What if I lose or replace my library card after signing up with LinkedIn Learning for Library?

Since no user information is collected or retained, any previous courses you've taken or certificates of completion you've earned will no longer be available if you replace your library card.

What's the difference between LinkedIn Learning and the commercial product?

The content catalog is the same. Linkedin Learning only requires that you have an SFPL card for access. The commercial product requires a profile with your email address. It also has tools to share your work on social media.
