Expired Library Account

If your library account is expired, your Kanopy access will be blocked. To renew your library account, call 415-557-4400 or send an email.

Inactive Kanopy Account

If time has passed since you last used Kanopy, you may need to re-enter your card number and PIN/password in your Kanopy account settings.

Here are the steps to do this:

From web browser:

  1. Log into Kanopy with your email address and password, or your Google and Apple account.
  2. Click your Name in the upper right side of your screen.
  3. Select My Account, then click the My Libraries tab.
  4. *Next to San Francisco Public Library, click the three dots and then Edit.
  5. Carefully type your 14-digit library card number (no spaces or dashes) and library PIN/password.
  6. Save changes when you're done.

From Kanopy app:

  1. Open the Kanopy app on your device.
  2. Tap More in the bottom right corner.
  3. Tap My Libraries.
  4. *Tap San Francisco Public Library.
  5. Carefully type your 14-digit library card number (no spaces or dashes) and library PIN/password.
  6. Save changes when you're done.

Save changes when done.

*If San Francisco Public Library doesn't appear on the list, click Add New Library.
